เบลนด์ยอดฮิตติดท็อปของ Mali Ateli ไม่แพ้ Esmeralda ถ้าเป็นการวิ่งแข่งเข้าเส้นชัยต้องเรียกว่าหายใจรดต้นคอกันมา มีคาแรกเตอร์ที่ร่วมกันตรงที่เป็นสองเบลนด์ที่มีตัวเอกเป็นดอกไม้ แต่ถ้าเทียบรสชาติแล้ว Esmeralda จะไปทางหอมหวานเรียบร้อยโรแมนติก ในขณะที่ Señorita จะออกไปแนวหอมหวานอมเปรี้ยว อยู่ที่ว่าวันนั้นผู้ดื่มอยากสัมผัสดอกไม้ในอารมณ์ไหน

This is Mali Ateli’s top bestseller, neck-and-neck with Esmeralda—if this were a race, they’d be breathing down each other’s necks at the finish line. They share the characteristic of both being flower-forward blends, but flavor-wise, Esmeralda leans toward sweet, elegant romance, while Señorita goes for sweet floral with a tart twist. It really depends on what kind of floral mood you’re in that day.

Since this blend has both floral aromatics and tartness, it’s not the easiest to pair with savory foods (though it’s fine as an after-dinner drink). If you must pair it, maybe mild central Thai dishes that aren’t too intense. For desserts, it’s perfect with anything fruit-forward—fruit tarts, French-style pastries with fruit purees, or even just fresh fruit like grapes, apples, or watermelon.

You can enjoy this blend hot or cold (the cold version brings out even more tartness). Add floral syrups like rose or cherry, and it becomes an even more refreshing and fun cold drink.

INSIDE THE IDEA

ในช่วงแรก Mali Ateli มี 8 เบลนด์ยืนมาหลายปี Señorita คือเบลนด์สุดท้ายของช่วงนั้น เราอยากปิดท้ายด้วยความจิ๊ดจ๊าด เพราะเบลนด์ที่ผ่านมาถ้าเทียบเป็นหญิงสาวก็จะเป็นหญิงสาวที่ค่อนข้างออกไปทางติดบ้านและเรียบร้อย เราอยากได้เบลนด์ที่เป็นตัวแทนเพื่อนหญิงพลังหญิงที่มีเอเนอจี้ล้นเหลือ ออกไปเต้นระบำฟลามิงโก้ได้ทั้งคืน บริหารเสน่ห์ได้เก่งเหมือนคนที่รู้ตัวว่าสวย เราเลยกำหนดให้เบลนด์นี้ควรจะเป็นสีแดง

พอได้รับโจทย์ (จากตัวเอง) ดังนี้แล้ว ก็ต้องหาตัวเอก แล้วก็ได้คำตอบมาเป็น “กระเจี๊ยบ” ซึ่งตอบโจทย์ทั้งสีและรสชาติ จากนั้น พระรองจะเป็นอะไร เราก็นึกไปถึงอะไรที่เปรี้ยว ๆ หวาน ๆ หอม ๆ และคำตอบที่ได้ก็คือ “กุหลาบ” ซึ่งมีกลิ่นที่หอมหวาน เอาล่ะ ได้คอมโบความฉูดฉาดแล้ว ต้องปูพื้นให้มีบอดี้ซะหน่อย ถ้าหากอยากให้เป็นชา จะเป็นชาอะไรดีที่จะเข้ากับสองสาวเปรี้ยวหวานนี้?

ในตอนแรกคำตอบคือ ชาแดง แต่เมื่อคิดไปคิดมา เราพบว่า ชาผูเอ่อร์ เป็นชาที่เหมาะกว่า เพราะเป็นชาที่เป็นพื้นฐานให้สองสาวเปล่งประกายกลิ่นและรสชาติของตัวเองได้ดีกว่า ในขณะที่ชาผูเออร์ทำหน้าที่สนับสนุนอยู่หลังเวทีเงียบ ๆ ได้เป็นอย่างดี

In Mali Ateli’s early years, we had 8 blends that stood strong for years, and Señorita was the grand finale of that era. We wanted to end with a bang because all our previous blends, if you imagine them as women, would be rather homebody types—elegant and proper. We wanted a blend that represented that powerhouse girlfriend with endless energy who could flamenco dance all night, someone who wielded her charm masterfully because she knew she was beautiful. So we decided this blend had to be red.

With that brief (from ourselves), we needed to find our leading lady, and the answer came: “Roselle”—perfect for both color and flavor. Then, who would be the supporting actress? We thought of something tart, sweet, and fragrant, and landed on “rose” with its sweet, romantic aroma. Great, we had our dramatic combo, but we needed to lay down some foundation, give it body. If we wanted this to be tea, what kind of tea would complement these two tart-sweet beauties?

Initially, we thought black tea, but after more consideration, we realized pu-erh was the better choice. It’s the kind of tea that provides the perfect foundation for our two stars to shine with their own aromas and flavors, while pu-erh quietly supports from backstage.

So it became a blend about a woman who commands attention under the spotlight, who grew up confident and strong because she had a kind father at home, supporting his daughter’s path.
